Registering For Your Service

Thank you for choosing OMH for your healthcare service.

If coming to OMH for the following, please enter through the main entrance and sign in at the podium to the immediate right of the revolving door:​

  • Outpatient Procedures or tests
  • Rehabilitation Services (first time only)

An Auxiliary Volunteer Greeter or one of our Patient Access Specialists will direct you to one of the Patient Access desks to complete the registration process. At that time, demographic, insurance and other pertinent information will be taken and it is requested that you have your photo I.D. and insurance card(s) ready. Estimated co-pay, deductible and/or co-insurance fees (where applicable) will be requested at that time.

If you are coming to OMH for any of the following, please enter through the main entrance and please go directly to the Information Desk:

  • MRI
  • Surgical Procedure
  • Surgical Pre-Registration Appointment
    Again, it is important to have your photo I.D. and insurance card(s) ready.

All registrations occurring between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. (weekdays) and 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. (weekend days) will be registered through the Emergency Department.

Emergency Department Patients should enter through the Emergency Department entrance and speak directly with the Emergency Department Triage Nurse. As the Triage nurse has varied hours of operation, should the window be closed, patients can proceed directly through the solid wood door into the Emergency Department. Patients waiting for the Emergency Department and family members should wait in the Emergency Department waiting area, located adjacent to the Triage Nurse window. The OMH Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and is staffed by an emergency certified physician at all times.

OMH is helping to protect you from medical and financial identity theft by employing the latest technology to verify patient identity at each visit. Nearly 2 million Americans are victims of medical identify theft, costing Americans more than $41 billion annually. By presenting with a picture ID and scanning your index finger, you are instantly linked to your medical benefits so no one else can use them. Scanning your finger will prevent medical errors due to misidentification and improve your hospital experience. It takes less than 30 seconds to enroll, and helps to speed the registration time at future visits. Your fingerprint is not stored and therefore is not available to any authorities. The unique points on your finger are simply used to securely link you to your medical record.
