April’s first role at OMH was as a Dietary Aide for the food services department. She has since obtained her CNA, LPN, and RN credentials all while advancing her role throughout the hospital. She is currently a Clinical Trainer for Physician Services.

I was super nervous when I even thought about taking on the responsibility of going back to school, but once I talked about it with my coworkers and my supervisor, the positive feedback I received from them made me feel like it was something I could do.

Kelly joined OMH as a Cardiac Rehab RN. Over the coarse of her career, she has held several positions, gone back to school to obtain her BSN, and has most recently been promoted to Risk Manager for the hospital.

So many people are willing to help you learn and act as resources, all the way up to senior leadership. When I worked in the ED and was furthering my education, my boss was great at working around my class schedule and encouraged me to pursue the BSN!
